Smart Chat has three models: Lite, Pro and Ultra. Lite gives the fastest replies for everyday questions and is on every plan. Pro reasons more deeply on harder topics, and Ultra is for complex topics and research. Pro and Ultra come with the Plus plan and above, and bigger models use more of your monthly credits.
On Pro and Ultra you can choose how long Ava thinks before answering: Low, Medium, High, Extra high and Max. Lower levels reply sooner, while higher levels work through the problem more thoroughly, so replies take longer and use more of your credits. Lite has no reasoning setting.
Yes. Ava can search the web when it helps, and the sources it used are listed with the answer so you can open them. Web search is on by default and you can switch it off. On the Free plan, web search works on up to 5 replies a day and paid plans allow more; each search uses your monthly credits. Answers are AI-generated and can still be wrong, so check important facts against the sources.
Memory is on by default: Ava saves useful things you share in Smart Chat, such as your goals, background and preferences, so you do not have to repeat them. Open Settings, then Memory, to review what is saved, edit or delete any item, add your own, delete everything or turn memory off. You can also turn memory off for a single chat. Deleting a chat does not delete your memories.
Smart Chat is for open-ended questions and quick study help: you ask, Ava answers and you follow up. Smart Study builds a structured course for a topic or certification, Smart Exams generates practice question sets for supported exams, and Smart Interview prepares you for interviews. When one of them suits your request, Ava suggests it; once you confirm, it opens with your request filled in, and nothing runs until you start it.
Deep Research is for questions too big for one reply. Ava drafts a research plan with an estimated cost; once you approve it, research agents search the web in parallel and Ava writes a report with citations. It comes with the Pro and Max plans, with 3 research agents on Pro and 5 on Max, and it uses your monthly credits.
