This policy governs all refund and cancellation requests for Nuroversity subscriptions, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. This policy forms part of the Agreement as defined in the Terms of Service.
No payment is collected for the Free tier. No refund is applicable or necessary.
Where Nuroversity offers a free trial period, no charges are applied during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan at the end of the trial. You will be notified at least 72 hours before the auto-conversion occurs.
If you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your subscription start date, provided all of the following conditions are met:
You have consumed less than 20% of the plan's AI credit allocation during that period;
The request is submitted in writing to refunds@Nuroversity.com before the 7-day window expires;
Your account has not been suspended or terminated for violation of the Terms of Service.
Eligible first-time subscribers receive a full refund with no deductions. This cooling-off refund is available once per account per tier — if you upgrade, you are eligible for a fresh 7-day cooling-off on the new tier.
Subscription renewals are non-refundable once the new billing cycle has commenced, except where:
Nuroversity failed to send the required advance renewal notification (7 days for monthly plans, 30 days for annual plans);
There was an unauthorised or duplicate charge due to a technical or billing error solely attributable to Nuroversity;
The Platform was completely inaccessible for more than 72 consecutive hours during the billing cycle — in which case a pro-rata credit is applied to the next cycle, or a pro-rata refund if the subscription is also cancelled.
For annual subscriptions outside the 7-day cooling-off window, Nuroversity will assess pro-rata refund requests on a case-by-case basis only in the following circumstances:
Documented serious medical emergency of the subscriber or immediate family member, supported by a government-registered medical practitioner's certificate;
Duplicate payment or clear billing error attributable to Nuroversity;
Permanent discontinuation of a specific Service that was the primary reason for the annual subscription.
These circumstances are exhaustive. Pro-rata refunds in other circumstances are not available for annual plans outside the cooling-off window.
The following are expressly non-refundable in all circumstances:
Monthly or annual subscriptions cancelled after the expiry of the applicable 7-day cooling-off period (unless an exception under Section 2.3 or 2.4 applies);
AI tokens, credits, or usage already consumed within a billing cycle;
Certifications already issued (including those subsequently revoked for policy violations);
Subscriptions where the refund cooling-off period has already been claimed on the same account for the same tier;
Purchases made during promotional campaigns, with discount codes, or under introductory pricing (unless the promotion expressly states otherwise);
Accounts terminated for violations of the Acceptable Use Policy;
Downgrade differences — no refund for unused higher-tier days when downgrading mid-cycle.
To request a refund, you must:
Email refunds@Nuroversity.com with the subject line: Refund Request — [Your Registered Email Address]
Include: your full name, registered email address, Razorpay order or transaction ID (from your payment receipt), date of purchase, subscription tier, and a brief reason for the refund request;
For exceptional-circumstance annual plan refunds, attach any required supporting documentation.
We will acknowledge your request within 48 business hours, issue a decision within 7 business days, and process approved refunds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days from the date of approval (subject to your bank's processing time).
You may cancel your subscription at any time without requiring justification:
Navigate to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan and confirm; or
Email support@Nuroversity.com with the subject: Cancel Subscription — [Your Registered Email].
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have full access to your subscribed tier until that date. Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund — if you believe you are eligible, submit a refund request separately per Section 4.
You may downgrade your subscription tier at any time. The downgrade takes effect from the start of your next billing cycle. You will continue to receive the higher tier's features until the current billing cycle ends. No refund is issued for unused higher-tier days within the current cycle.
If Nuroversity permanently discontinues the Platform or a specific core Service, we will:
Provide at least 30 days' written notice via email and in-app notification before discontinuation;
Offer a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of a paid annual subscription covering the period after the discontinuation date;
Allow users to export certification records, study history, or other personal data for at least 30 days after the notice period.
Temporary suspensions, feature deprecations, model changes, or UI overhauls do not constitute service discontinuation for the purposes of this section.
If you are dissatisfied with a refund decision:
Escalate to our Grievance Officer at grievance@Nuroversity.com, referencing your original refund request ID. The Grievance Officer will respond within 15 business days;
Approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019;
File a complaint at consumerhelpline.gov.in or call 1800-11-4000 (toll-free);
Refer to arbitration per Section 10 of the Terms of Service if the dispute remains unresolved.
